Workshop Rationale and Objectives

This joint Paper Development Workshop (PDW) of Organization Studies and Organization Theory seeks to provide developmental opportunities for advanced PhD students and early career scholars who are engaged in research in the field of organization and management studies (from a social science tradition). The PDW will help participants develop their research and academic writing skills. It also seeks to increase participants’ awareness of the requirements, expectations, and procedures involved in the review processes at top peer-reviewed academic journals through presentations and first-hand discussion with established scholars and editors of journals such as Organization Studies and Organization Theory.
In particular, we aim to support participants in developing their manuscripts into conference papers to be successfully submitted to events such as the EGOS Colloquium and/or the OMT Division of the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (since such conference presentations are an important step towards publication) or to make existing manuscripts ready for submission to top-tier journals.
